Norman Walsh started his shoe making career at the tender age of 14, serving his appreniceship for Foster Bros footwear, the family of whom went on to found Reebok. During his time at Foster Bros his talents were noticed and he was put in charge of professional athletic footwear, hand making many of the 1948 British Olympic Teams trainers. In 1961 he founded Norman Walsh Footwear, to this day the company is still Based in Bolton with recognision from the Europe and Japan Walsh footwear is the last example of a True British Athletics Footwear Company.
