The brands vision became a reality when he began working with another key stylist (and personal friend), Emilio Lazzarini, the famous Italian designer.

 
Together they created flexible and comfortable footwear that is clearly evident in each and every design.

Johan Cruyff is possibly one of the most iconic footballers  on the planet, never quite managed to win a World Cup despite being influential in the 1974 World Cup that saw his talented Holland side lose to West Germany.

Cruyff was the three times winner of the European footballer of the year award, or Ballon D’Or. After retiring from international football Cruyff decided to try his hand in the footwear industry, and in 1979 working alongside his good friend and Italian designer Emidio Lazzarini the Cruyff Classics sports shoe brand was born. Designer Lazzarini was responsible each pair of Cruyff Classic trainers made while Cruyff himself was responsible for ensuring that each design had functionality and elegance that has never been seen in sports footwear before.

Dutch footballers of the 80s. Football legends such as Van Basten, Bergkamp, Vanenburg, Bosman, Winter, Hiele and Cruyff’s son Jordi were all seen sporting the famous football boots and even the range of Cruyff trainers such as the indoor classics, built for training.  These famous names were to be the inspiration for the designs and styles.

Cruyff Classics have been re-launched in the past few years, throughout the UK and Europe the popularity of Cruyff footwear is growing fast, with Infinities bringing you one of the largest ranges of Cruyff trainers in the UK.

The autumn/winter 2011 collection has remakes of the original designs such as the Vanenburg and Recopa Classic in arrange of colours, materials and styles.
