Edwin founder, K.K. Tsunem had a humble start to his career in fashion.
Importing surplus jeans from the USA, Tsunem painstakingly washed each and every single pair by hand.
In the early sixties his hard work paid off, and utilizing the boom in Japanese denim production Tsunem ceased this opportunity to turn the world of denim on its head.
By re-arranging the letters of the word 'denim' and flipping the M to create a W, Edwin was born.
Since then Edwin has developed into a premium denim brand throughout the world and a staple of any denim lovers wardrobe.
This Japanese clothing brand was founded in 1969 and is often capitalized as EDWIN. It mainly focuses on manufacturing jeans.
In 1961 the first pair of Edwin Jeans was made. They have been constantly innovating over the years and they invented new concepts such as heavy jeans. They were also the first company to start producing distressed and vintage look denim.
