Carhartt
Founded in 1889, Hamilton Carhart set out to supply the best quality work wear possible to railroad engineers. Carhartt had the aspiration to set a standard of excellence to which all others would look up to.
From humble beginnings of four sewing machines and five employees, business soon boomed for Carhartt and during the early 1900’s the business massively expanded to seventeen plants and three mills throughout the USA and Canada.
By taking control of every aspect of manufacture, from cotton production to the final product Carhartt could guarentee the highest quality possible. This desire for quality and the brand's workwear roots are clearly evident in the products of today through the simple design and attention to detail.
